15. Heliopan ES Pol circ. Kasemann 72 mm
Heliopan is a known German company, whose history dates back to 1948. You can find a whole range of filters of different diameters and mountings in their offer. The producer took care of quality and durability using Schott glass and Protect Multi Coatings (SH-PMC). Heliopan has always been identified with high quality… and price.

Usage
The ring turns smoothly, with a little unequal resistance. Cleaning isn’t troublesome. No problems during the tests.
Summary
17th place in the overall ranking (22.1/37.5)The transmission curve is flat until 700 nm, then it rises a little. The coefficient of extinction of about 0.5/1000 is good for a foil polarizer. Violet color isn’t extinguished entirely. C1 and C2 graphs indicate that we’re dealing with a quarter-wave plate of zeroth order designed for the middle of visible spectrum. Very large scattering can be observed not only in results of the tests, but also in pictures. When you add flares to the list, you need to ask yourself if it’s worth to pay so much for this filter.
