Polarizing filters test 2015
23. Seagull CPL
Probably many people are familiar with the brand and its logo. Seagull is a well-known producer of office equipment, at least in Poland. But under the same name brand hides also a producer of photographic accessories. The Seagull company is descended from Shanghai and it's already more than 50 years on the market. It is a typical representative of companies which are proud of their Chinese roots. In our first test there was a surprisingly good filter sold at similar price point so we decided to test another product of that company.

Design, usage and summary
The filter is quite solid, with a screwed-on ring. Its performance is light and even but with distinct whirr and a slight axial slack. There are no coatings. For a low-cost product it makes a very solid impression.Flat spectrum characteristics, a bit descending toward the short-wave end. A good extinction coefficient in the middle of the spectrum. The filter stops working in infrared very soon.
