Cons: Slowish and audible AF even with newer bodies, could be faster (aperture wise), prone to flaring and ghosting, awkward lens hood - hard to take off when reversed onto the lens, filter thread is recessed into the lens body and makes it awkward to use step-up-filter rings.
Pros: A good do-it-all short telephoto prime. Very sharp and lovely rendering. Built like a tank. Can produce nice sunstars when stopped down. Good for close-ups, portraits, nature shots - just about anything that doesn\'t move too fast.
Summary: It\'s a quirky lens but I\'m pleased with the results I get from it. It\'s a solid lens mechanically and optically (for the most part, try not to shoot against the sun). Definitely one of the most underappreciated Fuji lenses but I love it for the bokeh it produces.

Summary: Quick summary: optically this lens is stunning. It has great colors and bokeh is beautiful. I\'s a useful focal lenght for portraits too with an unusual f/2,4 aperture. Beware, it\'s not a 1:1 macro lens. The only one is the new 80mm. The 60mm is still wonderful but feels mechanically outdated. Autofocus is slow and more annoying often inaccurate. It\'s also very noisy. The lens extends when focusing and unfortunately manual focusing by wire is loud and unprecise. I loved the rendering of this lens but couldn\'t stand it\'s poor mechanics.

Cons: Painfully slow autofocus, prone to hunting over it’s full range when focus is missed. No focus limiter. I agree with James - close focus, yes, macro? No. AF is also noisy, but both slowness and noise somewhat improved after firmware updates. No Image Stabiliser.
Pros: Image quality often stunning. Distortion non-existent. Easily the best Fuji lens hood - all-metal, deep and fits with a confidence inspiring ‘snick’. Almost immune to flare because of both the deeply recessed front element and the aforementioned lens hood.
Summary: One of the very first x lenses and still optically one of the best, but if speed matters to you walk away now.
