Cons: The zoom of 70mm is a bit limited and the foltersize of 82mm makes a few accesoires not fit for use anymore
Pros: Amazing imAGE quality. Sharp, fast; perfect matching my 5D mk3.
Summary: My best lens so far.

Cons: None. Well, I do miss the novel \'perfect\' lens hood scheme of the legacy model — rest in peace.
Pros: So good we bought two. Super sharp images wide open with great AF (even in bad light) and lovely bokeh. The perfect 2.8 mid-zoom. Even does close focusing. Such a dramatic improvement over the legacy model and I encourage all
Summary: If I had to bring just one wedding to shoot a wedding it would be this one.

Cons: Cheap hood, No IS
Pros: My sharpest zoom lens and I own several Canon "L"s including the 70-200mm f/2.8L II IS. Only my Sigma ART 50mm f/1.4 is sharper. Super fast focus
Summary: I had a very good copy of the Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM but sold it because once I get this gem it never got used.

Summary: My favorite Canon lens.

Cons: expensive lens, cheap plastic hood, plastic filter thread and other plastic pieces but understand to reduce weight from mk I
Pros: Excellent image quality even wide open, lighter than preceeder, silent and fast focus, very good contrast, real sharp at f4.
Summary: This is the best zoom lens that canon ever made in term of image quality. Very good for portrait and general purpose. I use this lens more than 90 percent for my shot. Sometimes I forgot my prime lens in the cabinet.

Cons: None
Pros: As in post below
Summary: Whoops. Must proofread my posts. That should read "seriously sharp wide open at all focal lengths", not aperures, and corners is misspelled. Tut tut. Honestly, this lens is worth the money.

Cons: None
Pros: This is seriously sharp wide open at all apertures. Not bad on the ocrners either. Contrast and colour are visibly better.
Summary: A fantastic lens. As good as my Canon 70-200 2.8 II, and I didn't think I'd find a zoom as good. Worth every last cent.

Cons: Price. Your wallet will curse you! Construction. Would prefer more metal than plastic.
Pros: Excellent image quality throughout the entire focal length. Excellent IQ at all apertures, although even better from 3.5 Fast and accurate focusing even in low light. Excellent contrast/saturation
Summary: IMO, the best general purpose L zoom Canon has ever made.

Cons: Expensive and I don't like the idea of the plastic construction (especially the filter thread). However, it seems robust (so far)
Pros: Beautiful image quality, very sharp images (I have reduced my sharpening settings in Lightroom), silent and small and light (compared to earlier version)
Summary: I love this lens. It is my walk-around lens and delivers superb image quality, noticeably better than the previous version, even to an amateur like me.
