Cons: None other than the weight compared to a standard 300 2.8
Pros: Outstanding image quality wide open, especially considering it's a zoom lens. Excellent performance with teleconverters. Built like a tank. Fast & accurate focus.
Summary: I had the older OS version of this lens and was pleased with it, but am very happy I upgraded to this new version. It is an improvement in every aspect. I highly recommend getting the accessory USB dock as it allows you to increase the speed of the focus from the default setting to a speed that rivals the name brand lenses. As a straight 300 2.8 it would be a great value, but being a zoom it is an exceptional value.
