Overall
Owner since: 1 month
Price: 1260 euros
User profile: Semipro
Cons: if perfection doesn't exist, we are close! If you want to be picky maybe the vignetting and the distorsion is strong (above 2% but the curve is simple to correct)
Pros: instant focus superlatively accurate with great SSM motor, sharp edge to edge at every aperture, outstanding contrast under any conditions, close to perfect built
Summary: could seem a bit pricey (about 1300 euros) but actually the cheaper among it's pairs canon 50 1.2L (1500euros) and nikon 58 1.4G (1700 euros) just give your money and shut up!

Cons: None so far!
Pros: Lightning fast AF, almost silent, amazing colours, tack sharp images wide open, no CA, well controlled ghosting and flaring - an all round beauty!
Summary: Had this lens as a pre-release for about a week and I absolutely love it! The build quality like most zeiss glass is impeccable, and the image quality is outstanding. IMO its worth every penny.
