Cons: Performance only in comparison to good primes.
Pros: Sharpness center, Sharpness half-way. Overal optical performance.
Summary: I bought this lens for the focal range and full frame coverage. The price, absence of real competition and the need for a walk-around lens made me take the risk. No matter how critically I look at the pictures, I only find softness at the extreme edges where sharpness is 99,9% of the team sharpness is not needed and more often than not, not even wanted! As the Sigma 24-70 has now been rolled out and tested by this site and others, I see no need to change. Compare this lens in MTF performance and CA to the N 24-70 2.8E as well as other similar lenses the most indecisive buyer will conclude quickly. The only potential (still standing by to find formal test results) buster could be the new Tamron 24-70 G2.

Cons: Heavy. Zoom opposite direction than Nikon.
Pros: A very capable lens that is a joy to handle. Works very well with my D750.
Summary: Just great!!!!
