Cons: a little too much LoCA (longitudinal chromatic aberration)

Pros: good optical quality, nice bokeh

Summary: A very nice lens overall with a little too much LoCA and a bit too expensive.

Cons: A bit flimsy lens hood mount but hardly use it so no big deal. Thus the 4 instead of 5 for build quality. (I'd rate it 4.5 but that's not possible above.)

Pros: Very solid and well-made. Mounts to camera body (Oly E-PL1) tightly and securely. Over time never any wobble whatsoever. Very sharp, high-resolution even wide open at f/1.8. Bokeh is smooth and pleasant. Included lens hood. Focuses fast and sure even on this "older" camera body.

Summary: Overall one cannot ask for a better "normal", 50mm-equivalent-FOV lens for m4/3s at this price. If one doesn't need or want f/1.4 or even f/0.95, then this is a no-brainer to buy. I used the Panny 20/1.7 before but find I don't "see" photographically with a 40mm-equivalency. It's a good lens too but for 50mme, the Oly is fine. Period. You cannot go wrong with this lens.

Cons: Build quality under the 17 mm f/1,8, but it seems not "cheap" Lenshood mounting is not very practical

Pros: Light and bright Very good image quality even wide open

Summary: It is my better lens for the moment. It's very sharp in the center and the corners are good. Bokeh is nice and it has a good rendering. I like this lens very much, but 50 mm equivalent can be a bit too long for all around shooting.
