Owner since: 3 months
Price: 1250
User profile: Professional
Cons: Not f2.8
Pros: Sharp in the center wide open across the focal range Very sharp by f5.6-f8 so highly usable for landscape use Nice solid build quality Instant to focus on a A7RII
Summary: It is known there are sample variations on this lens by many owners. If you get a good one you can expect consistent results of sharpness across the frame by f5.6 if not f8. One can't criticize the build quality nor overall performance. It is solid if not heavy but a good balance on the A series cameras. Even works well on an A6300. For tight interior shots as well as landscapes it's an excellent choice. The versatility of going from 16mm out to 35mm on a whim without lens changes needed is a plus
