Cons: a little heavy to carry all day

Pros: inredibly sharp at all focal lengths, very good color correction. The best lens I ever saw!

Summary: I made a series of interferometric measurements showing the lens being diffraction limited at all focal lengths, AND with Kanko 1,4x TC. I am astrophotographer and point light sources are any lenses nightmare. This lens performs up to the fullframe corner. Cons: It is a heavy lens since it is a full frame lens, but there is none available in this zoom range in the DX format that could be lighter.

Pros: I used this lens with a 70D in a safari in Serengeti and the pictures are fantastic sharp. You can see the hairs on a leopard that was 30 meters away. The focus is super fast and almost silent.

Summary: Better than expected lens that use with DX camera gives you fantastic pictures of birds and wildlife

Cons: Heavy, no place to stow tripod mount if removed in supplied bag, not cheap.

Pros: Fast AF, very sharp and high contrast wide open. Brilliant on 7Dmk2.

Summary: Awesome for motorsport, but not light for extended use.
