Cons: - Aperture ring not as firm as on newer f/2 WR series - The biggest wide angle prime in Fuji\'s lineup - Not for astrophotography
Pros: - Solid build, weather sealed - Bright - Extremely sharp - Close focus - You can get some good looking bokeh - Practical MF/AF clutch - Quite versatile
Summary: Optically stellar. The lens is almost sharp from edge to edge at f/1,4 and you get perfect sharpness across the frame at f/2. Rendering is beautiful. Bokeh can be nice but don\'t forget it\'s a 24mm equivalent. You need to be close to get blur. Mechanically the lens is great. Weather sealed, not small but not that huge. Weight is reasonable. It fits well on X-TX and X-Pro. On X-E cameras, better use it with a grip. The additionnal metal square hood adds weight but keeps the lens smaller than the original. If you only need this focal lenght for landscape stopped down, you can buy the already very good and much cheaper 16mm f/2,8. If you are seriously interested into a bright and versatile wide angle, this is the one to get.

Cons: - Noticeable coma & astigmatism wide-open - Noticeable spherochromatism wide-open - Slight focus-by-wire lag
Pros: - Sharpness, both wide-open and stopped down - Close focus ability - Rendering quality - Zero distortion, well-controlled vignetting & lateral CAs - Very solid build - AF/MF clutch mechanism
Summary: While the pros and cons sides look nearly even on paper, this lens is absolutely stellar in use. It\'s deadly sharp from f/2.8 all the way through till diffraction; the only need to stop down is to extend depth-of-field. There\'s some coma present in the corners wide open, but it diminishes well at f/2 and completely by f/2.8 — I\'d have no reservations using this lens for night sky photography. Having the clutch mechanism and distance scale makes for incredibly easy zone focusing. There\'s a small but perceptible lag from the focus motor catching up to the focus ring. It\'s something I noticed but promptly forgot about in use.
