Cons: None for the money.
Pros: Snappy autofocus, great portraits at f2, built like a tank, well protected against the elements.
Summary: Does the job well.

Summary: A fine standard lens.

Cons: Extreme corners are soft and distortion is unusually high in RAW. I would say this high level of distortion hides behind the softness at extreme corners.
Pros: Overall image sharpness, build quality, compactness, focusing ring, bokeh, instantly quick autofocus.
Summary: Excellent standard lens for the Fuji system. Highly recommended.

Cons: - Extremely huge distortion in RAW, can be corrected but you loose sharpness in the extreme corners and you can\'t get straight lines on close subjects - Had one sample with unreliable autofocus
Pros: - Best build quality I\'ve seen - Weather sealed - Rings are perfect - Quick and silent focusing - Very good overall sharpness - Great colors - Nice looking bokeh, you get almost the same amount of blur than with the f/1,4 version
Summary: This is my love / hate lens. It\'s a wonderful little lens with some of the greatest build quality I\'ve seen. Paint is almost unscratchable. Autofocus is much faster and quieter than on the previous f/1,4 version. It\'s a joy to use. Optically I like the overall sharpness and bokeh. Downside is I don\'t understand why a standard lens has so much distortion. JPEG engine compensates quite well and in most cases, it can be corrected when post processing. But you loose sharpness in the extreme corners and you can\'t get straight lines on closer subjects. Typically you shoot a shop frontage, it\'s okay. You shoot an object on a table, you will get a very hard time to straighten the line.

Cons: Slow. Bad distortion. Expensive.
Pros: Light. AF. WR.
Summary: A horrible lens, given its price and brand fame. You can chose between huge distortion in RAF and smeared jpeg corners in JPEG. Hell of a choice. I get way cleaner and less distorted images from a cheapo Sigma on a cheapo Canon body. WR is very nice to have if you live in London.

Cons: - only f/2 - AF could have been faster, nevertheless it's one of the faster Fujinon's
Pros: - sharp - small - great build quality with weather-sealing - quite low price
Summary: Some may complain, that the price is too high in comparision to Nikon's or Canon's 35mm lenses. But the Fujinon is the smallest, lightest, the one with the best build quality and the only one with a weather resistant design in this price range, which makes it quite unique. It's not significantly better than the Fujinon 35mm f/1.4, nor is it significantly cheaper. Which you should choose just depends on your needs.

Cons: None
Pros: Very sharp edge to edge. No optical disfunction at all. Fast AF, very well built, small.
Summary: Incredible lens. I have put 2000 images through this lens without a problem. I am not sure where the negative reviews here come from but I am not finding them to be at all accurate. Excellent performer.

Cons: High distortion and aberration High price No hyperfocal markings
Pros: Weather resistant Compact size Lightweight Fast auto focus
Summary: The size and weather sealing make the XF35F2 a perfect companion for the small Fuji X bodies. However, the US$400 price for what is essentially a "normal" lens is too high. SLR systems universally provide a normal 50mm f/1.4 lens for <$200. This Fuji lens is slower at f/2 and costs twice as much as a comparable SLR lens for Nikon, Canon or Pentax. Visible distortion can be seen in RAW images even after camera corrections are applied. A "normal" perspective lens should be nearly flawless edge to edge. This is not. Very dissappointing.

Cons: - lenshood isn't that amazing
Pros: - high sharpness already at f/2.0 - fast autofocus on X-Pro 1 (with latest firmware)
Summary: A great lens, fast enough for available light photography. Autofocus works very well on my X-Pro 1. Very recommendable!

Cons: Very high distortion in RAW files...too much, which software correction cannot fully deal with leading to smeared corners. A shame, since the original was hardware corrected and "nicer"from a purists perspective.
Pros: Central image sharpness is fantastic! Build quality is top notch.
Summary: A great compromise, but it is still a compromise. It could have been slightly better than it turned out to be in reality.
