Cons: If you have a thing about a solid heavy lens you may call it a con. In reality a f2.8 lens of this caliber will always be a bit heavier so I can't say it's a negative. I found no other negative with this lens
Pros: Will keep up with top level primes starting wide open across it's entire focal range Instant to lock focus Solid and accurate build quality
Summary: I wasn't sure if the lens would live up to the advertising hype, but I must say it has proven itself worthy of every penny. Superior to both the Nikon and Canon equivalent's I've owned before. The build is as solid and smooth as it can be. It surprised me that it was capable of a sharp image across the entire frame at 24mm making me no longer feel the need for a prime to do the job. Everywhere else it simply produces top flight bokeh. Sharpness in the central portion of the lens is unbeatable. Color rendition is equal to any of the other manufacturers if not superior. Contrast remains high no matter what focal length you're using. I am spoiled on the instantaneous focus locking this lens achieves on my A7RII. Can't say enough about the build quality, it is professional all the way.
