Cons: Maybe a tad too bulky. The lens hood is way too big. Give us something to choose from ZEISS!!
Pros: Good sharpness wide open in the center, stopping down to F2.8 gives decent corner sharpness. From F4 etc it\'s outstanding. Contrast and colours are really beautiful. Eye AF works good with firmware 2.0 No front or back focus problems here.
Summary: Great lens but maybe a bit overpriced for a standard focal length and F2. On the other hand the lens stays relative compact and light due the F2 aperture so it\'s great for all day use.

Cons: Bulbous girth with the 67mm filter thread seems a bit much.
Pros: Very sharp with that great Zeiss color and light weight that balances nicely on my Sony. The internal close focus is fast and quiet. It\'s nice to have the Zeiss 3 year extended warranty in the US.
Summary: The auto focus modes with firmware 2.0 work great and are accurate on my a7R3. It is so nice to have a lens that focuses to 1:3.3 without the front end extending out like a trombone. With 40mm being so close to 35mm, this is becoming my favorite prime for general duties.

Cons: eye af and face recognition not work well: terrible frontfocus
Pros: nice color, contrast and bokeh, good flare resistance, lightweight
Summary: This lens is very good if you don\'t use eye af. My copy is updated at version 2, but don\'t solve the issue. One lens that cost 1300 should have eye af (it has but work bad at f/2 - 2.8) I don\'t know if is my copy, but many other complain this
