Cons: A rather heavy lens - but with that it is easy to hold it steady.
Pros: I like the build quality - I have used professional lenses from Canon and Nikon before and I reckon it is at least as good. We\'ll have to see how it looks like after a few years but with the weather resistant build I am not really worried. Autofocus is fast and exact - at least on my Nikon D750. Sharpness but also the optical character from this lens is very good indeed - finally a lens which can hold up to my Sony RX1 35mm Zeiss lens!
Summary: Most important for me - I can use it at f 1.4 - what\'s the point buying a rather heavy pro lens if you have to go down to f 2.8 to get sharp photos. For close-ups you can use easily f2 if ur ok with the narrow sharpness. I will be using this lens as my main working horse for city- and landscapes, nature, astro but also close-ups.

Cons: A very good new 35mm Tamron lens with beautiful rendition and ease of use. Colour, contrast & bokeh excellent. Really sharp already from f/1.4 from center to edge. Isolates subject + 3D pop in many types of light! Can make small sunstars already at f/2.8. A well rounded performance. Autofocus fast/precise/silent on my D810. Brought it to Iceland where it did fine in various weather conditions. Out-performs my already very good sample of Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art.
Pros: A few but nothing severe; Strong but gradual vignetting at f/1.4, a little focus shift stopping down, some visible distortion close up. Some flare may turn up at particular light angles.
Summary: Pictures simply looks great with this lens.
