Cons: Weight. At 3kg, it is hand-holdable, but not for long periods. No image stabilisation. No longer supported by Canon - if it breaks, you\'re on your own.
Pros: A lens like no other. Sharp wide open, fast to focus, impressive to look at. The images speak for themselves. Takes 1.4 and 2.0x TCs with next to no image quality degradation (400/3.5 anyone?) Large size tends to open doors for you as people just assume you\'re meant to be there. ;-)
Summary: Overall, an excellent lens, the best I own.
