Cons: - Noisy AF motor - AF usage in video mode is possible, but not recommended: focus tends to micro-adjust and won\'t really stick to a subject, so you have to be ready to do more MF work
Pros: - Excellent image quality (even on 43 MP A7R III body!) - From f/2.8 upwards, difference to the G-Master is only visible at a really significant zoom level (which, again, says a lot about its optical qualities on a 7R body) - Excellent weather sealing (has survived ice, snow and rain with no problems) - Very useful for close-up shots without bringing along a 90/105mm macro lens > good all-in-one candidate - Lightweight & compact - Useful filter size (67mm) - Useful lens hood design: doesn\'t add any size to your setup
Summary: A lot to like about this little, cheap lens – if you can live with the mere fact that it isn\'t your most comfortable to use lens. Results are excellent. AF is no problem for photos, but in video mode you will want to use MF with peaking turned on. If you can live with that and are in search of a good 35mm lens, this might be a good choice.
