Cons: I cannot think of any cons, lenses are a trade off, sure there\'s some CA wide open, and it\'s not an APO lens, but it isn\'t designed to be. Weather sealing is the only nit.
Pros: - Rendering, Color and Tone Reproduction, Character - Quality / Ergonomics - Size, Balance - Subject Sharpness, Fall off - Fast, Bright
Summary: I am fortunate enough to have the 1.2/50 SE, and the 2/50 APO, both are exceptional lenses in their own right. This 1.2/50 SE has everything I love about classic historic lenses, the rendering and fall of are just stunning, and also everything I love about new class leading lenses, rolled in to one. It\'s a joy to use on the A7R series cameras, and the images it produces are stunning. Simply, this lens made me love photography again, want to photograph everything, and disposed of my need to do any post. It rarely leaves the front of my camera.
