Cons: Actually, no \"cons\" that prevent you from buying this gem, just some grumbling of what could have been better. QC - seen some people got lenses that are not sharp wide open as they should, but cmon, you can always return it to the seller. Bokeh is rather simple, not gaussian blur as many modern lens do, but has not much character, as old mf lenses do. I am spoiled with some vintage mf lenses so this can be taken with a pitch of salt, bokeh is quite smooth and pleasant anyway, so no big issue. Corner face af - less grip on faces near the corners of image compare to kit 15-45mm fujinon Object separation - it separates objects okay at a distance up to 10-15 m wide open, then it goes almost to infinity. Say my Tamron Adaptall 2 90mm 2.5 can show a shallow DOF and separate object in 30 to 50m away, but it is different focal length. Also, this \"issue\" has a reverse side. Size and weight, bigger and heavier than mf versions from TTartisans or 7artisans, but hey, they are manual focus only.

Pros: Sharp! - If the lens is OK one, it must be razor sharp at 1.4 on about 70% of the frame, corners would be a bit softer but that`s f1.4 Fast - 1.4, very good for low light conditions together with X-trans sensors of Fuji especially. Bokeh - smooth, with some character but not too much intensive, anyway better than say Sigma gaussian blur. Object separation (revers side) - you can actually make sharp night landscapes wide open! if it focuses on infinity, DOF is big enough to produce a sharp landscape. Never thought i would make scape photos wide open but here i am. Build quality - solid metal and rubber, nice.

Summary: Overall good both for pro as a working horse, and for a hobbyist or ordinary user to get great pictures with prone bokeh in a bad lighting conditions. Might be too long for a inhouse pictures, better get 23 or 33mm version for those purposes

Cons: Some fringing, chromatic aberration wide open until around f2, f2.8. No built-in correction or correction profile in C1 (yet - ever?)

Pros: Lightweight, excellent bokeh, useful f1.4 aperture. Gets very sharp from around f1.8 on up. Fast AF.

Summary: Overall I love this lens - produces very beautiful pictures and most of its main issues are correctable in post anyway. Very affordable - not sure the older XF 56mm f1.2 is truly worth it over this lens, which seems faster and produces comparable images.

Cons: Aperture collar runs totally unnoched, so eventually you have to get used to checking on it

Pros: Sharp, very fast (aperture), good AF

Summary: My favorite for portrait, macro (with ring) and unfavorable lighting conditions.
