Cons: * Very inconsistent autofocus for stills. * So soft it reminds me of much older lenses. It takes a lot of stopping down to sharpen up.

Pros: * For video, autofocus is pretty good. * Especially for video, there’s nearly no focus-breathing. This is much better than, for example, the 35mm Fujifilm f/2 lens, which pulses in video.

Summary: I’m torn on this lens. For my video work, it’s great value for money, but for stills I’m consistently disappointed in it. It’s excessively soft wide open. Even stopped to F/2, it still demonstrates a lack of contrast. Compared to Tokina’s 56mm, it’s an overall disappointing product.

Cons: the autofocus is slower than with the viltrox although they have a license from fuji. I wait for a firmware update...

Pros: well made, no noise, good photo quality on a fuji x

Summary: I bought both from viltrox and tokina. Viltorx made reverse engineering and tokina got a license from fuji. The autofocus with the tokina is slower than the one from viltrox. But tokina has no Video problems with some bodies like viltrox. I like the lens for quiet photography and still moments. The quality and the price is for a Fuji lens a good deal and the photos with bokeh are very good. The Tokina has a magnetic filter in the package to stop lens flares.
