Cons: The cons are mentioned as a \"should know before buy\". fokusring rotates during zoom a bit heavy compared with some other lenses hood nessesary in some cases lens slides down when camera is pointed down
Pros: good zoom range and very sharp. nice Colors and good build.
Summary: I\'ve spend 10€ for a used one. Lucky ;) There is not more to say in addition of the upper comment as: the colors are simply beautiful.

Cons: - a bit heavy compared with Sonu's new 17-55mm - prone to flare without hood
Pros: - good zoom range on APS-C - very sharp - good color rendering - good build
Summary: I found the sharpness excellent on my Sony a200 and I would say it's as sharp like the baby beercan , but with much better zoom range. And 28mm at the wide end isn't bad for an APS-C camera. i must say i really am pleased with this lens because the quality really is very good. distortion control is very good and worthy of a 4.5 if i could have given it this grade. all in all for the price this lens is, i would say buy one . I found the colors more accurate and pleasing as well. I got used to the push/pull quickly.
