Overall
Owner since: 1 month
Price: 60€
User profile: Amateur
Cons: zoom creap, af noisy
Pros: good build quality, metal mount, not too heavy, af reasonably fast on canon 50d, sharp from f3.5 wide and f5.0 tele, hardly any CA even wide open, low distortion and vignetting (on APS-C). Push-Pull zoom is a nice feature, if you like it. Manual focussing rimg is well constructed and nice to use
Summary: I own the Soligor version of this lens, you can get it cheap and it its optically as good as canon 100-300 usm, but af is a little worse (slower, noisier). I can recommend it, as it it easy to use and gives you good (but not excellent) picture quality for a fair price.

Price: 78€
User profile: Semipro
Cons: quite heavy - but for for the max. aperture
Pros: sharp, fast AF (for a lens without internal AF-motor) and fast aperture
Summary: have tested this lens on a D700 and a D7000. Even on the D7000 (16Mpix) the lens is sharp even wide open. Get it!
