Cons: Sample variations - test your copy! Corner sharpness ok, but less consistent compared to Sony 4/10-20
Pros: Very light and portable Affordable Sharp over most of the image area Low Coma Does well with astrophotography
Summary: This light lens is very suitable for astrophotography with APS-C and generally a powerful 1.8 lens with low coma. Wide open overall quality is impressive in all terms. Closed down f2.8 or 4.0 other than described in various test results this lens does never achieve the corner sharpness of the fabulous Sony 4/10-20. Astonishingly it does not improve significantly as you stop down. You buy this lens because you need a good 1.8 wide angle lens and it will deliver. Some vignetting can well be cured in post. Sample variations are also an issue with this design. Sony does an unacceptable job here.
