User profile: Professional
Cons: As already noted - a bit slow. Clunky & heavy.
Pros: Terrific macro lens when used with a tripod & manual focus. Killer Bokeh.
Summary: I love this lens. I bought it used 3 years ago and it was the best investment in a lens that I have made. I use it for 95% of my floral and garden work with great success.

Price: 400$

Cons: Slow and noisy AF, but I got used to it (somehow, it gives personality to the lens) (-:)
Pros: Very sharp, nice contrast, not heavy, easy to use.
Summary: High quality for relatively low price.

Cons: Slow, very slow, (the slowest?) AF, and not always spot on, sometimes you have to help it too. Colours, everything has too much red, thus you can only use RAW. The working distance is not long enough to take bugs.
Pros: Sharp as a macro should be.
Summary: A good macro, but that is it.
