Pros: Good Build Quality, Macro-Modus at 105mm, Good Sharpness & Good Contrast, Good CA & Distorsions Control, Nice Minolta Colors, AF works with unfailing accuracy, Sice & Weight are comfortable.
Summary: If you classify this lens as a kit lens, it should set standards in imaging quality to this day ... \"24mm instead of 35mm and a better MFD would be nice, but you can not really interpret this as a negative point because it comes from the 80s, so it is more than 30 years old.

Cons: A little heavy but i can live with it. 35mm is a bit not so wide but also alright since the result is great!
Pros: 35-105mm is just nice, yes, just nice. Optical is good and Macro mode is good too!
Summary: What can i say...this lens is older than some of you young photographer out there and it still kick ass! Sharpness is good across the whole range. Colour is as usual, the "Minolta Colour" and lastly, shooting it in Macro (MF) is truly a joy ;) I highly recommend this inexpensive lens to all a-mount users out there. It's a keeper, it's a must have!

Summary: I bought this lens from Ebay.today (08.07.2009)is the first day to use this lens,but I'm very happy for my decision to buy minolta 35-105.from the beggining I liked this lens...I love this lens !!!!!!!!!!this lens has a good ergonomy(with alpha 200) in my hands.sharpness is very very good ,colours are superb and aproachs to legendary minolta colours,very nice contrast.in conclusion,I'm very impressed by this lens and I recommend it 150 % to all photographers.minolta 35-105 macro is my adopt lens !!!If I can I would give 6 at all ratings!!!!!!! :) update review (26.08.2009) : very very very nice lens !!!! superb sharpness,great colors and ideal for portrets shooting. qualitative , 35-105 = 28-135 in my opinion !!!!!!
