Cons: Bit big and heavy - might break your foot if it fell on it. Aperture control need a bit of adjusting on my copy.
Pros: Reasonably sharp from f2.8 through to f16 and dangerously sharp from f3.5 to f8. Lovely bokeh. Very solid build - could use it to crack open nuts if the dust from the nuts wasn't such a problem. Contrast is pretty good on my copy but noticeably better from f4. Focus limiter and clamp are useful.
Summary: Despite 100mm being ideal for general photography, this lens has been on my camera solidly for the last 2 weeks. Despite my average photography skills it produces images that make me look good! Love it.
