Overall
Owner since: 3 years
Price: 1300$
User profile: Semipro
Cons: Very Well Build
Pros: If you want a Crown of the lenses this is it.
Summary: must be a pictorial geek to buy it.
Overall
Owner since: 3 months
Price: 1200
User profile: Semipro
Cons: Metal hood (slowly screwed in, lack of useful transportation mode), more convenient on FX
Pros: Very nice bokeh, fast and accurate
Summary: Great lens for portraits and "artistic" abstract compositions but requires space both in the open and inside the backpack.
Overall
Owner since: 2 years
Price: $1200
User profile: Professional
Cons: Some chromatic aberration wide open in high contrast scenes. Bulky, metal, lens hood.
Pros: Fast, sharp, beautiful IQ and bokeh. Built like a tank and yet not too heavy. I prefer it to the 135mm f/2 DC. Works great on full-frame.
Summary: Great lens! Buy it. It's a steal, especially now that the new G version is around, which is overpriced in my opinion since it's almost the same exact thing (in terms of optics). Get it used if you don't want to pay the new price.
Overall
Owner since: 3 months
Price: 490€
User profile: Semipro
Cons: heavy, lack of full time manual focusing, screw in hood
Pros: sharp, nice bokeh
Summary: A very good portrait lens, but the price - new - is a bit too high.
Overall
Owner since: more than 10 years

User profile: Amateur
Cons: Relatively heavy.
Pros: Very sharp, and nice borek.
Summary: I have this lens over 10 years and it's still my favorite lens
