Cons: Weight, VR first generation only good for 2 stops improvement, price even 10+ years old...

Pros: Super sharp from f2.8, very fast AF, outstanding build quality, excellent with tc 14e III...

Summary: A great pro lense for reportage, sport and - with restrictions of focal lenght, for wildlife.

Cons: Price? But then quality does cost..

Pros: Super sharp even at f2.8! Instantaneous focusing, and VR actually works as advertised! Nice bokeh too.

Summary: The perfect telephoto lens for many sports and wildlife applications
