Cons: Not really sharp at 2.8. Not suitable for fast moving objects, AF is noisy and makes many micro adjusments
Pros: Focus limiter is ok. Good build quality, quite small, metal hood.
Summary: Good for macro starters

Cons: AF is noisy
Pros: Very sharp lens, exploitable at full aperture, even at the borders. Despite being loud, the AF is right on the subject, which is not the case all the time with Sigma's.
Summary: Excellent lens to shoot portraits on APS-C, or take macro of small objects. Also, cheap price, and built like a tank. As an all-day lens, it clearly outperforms my Pentax 18-55 kit lens in terms of sharpness at 50mm. A very nice and useful prime.
