Cons: Sigma discontinued it
Pros: Image quality beyond reproach. Beats even the 180 2.8. Autofocus better than Nikon 200 Micro Nikkor. Light, versatile, good bokeh. Fits in a jacket pocket.
Summary: Even lighter when you remove the tripod ring (never used it). Insects don\'t wait till you set up a tripod. Very very reliable. (40,000+ shots in my case) Never found anything better, anything else is more awkward (like 2:1 lenses).

Cons: Can be slow to autofocus if a long way out of focus.
Pros: Sharp, Good working distance, can be gotten very close with tubes. Great portrait lens.
Summary: I don't use this lens anywhere near as much as I should. Solid build, stable collar and a pleasure to work with.

Cons: Heavy. Slow AF like all macro lenses.
Pros: Excellent optical quality. Tripod mount is sturdy enough.
Summary: For once the price/quality ratio is excellent. You could not wish for a better macro lens at this price.

Cons: Nothing!
Pros: Very sharp and very high resolution. Nearly without CAīs. Very creamy bokeh, nice colours. Sturdy building and nice finish (perhaps the superficie isnīt adecuate.
Summary: Nickname - The Boss - In macrowork a real boss (like Springsteen). One of the very best optical lenses arround. With a very good converter (like the Kenkon Pro 300 DGX x1.4) doesnīt loose resolution.

Cons: Sloooow focus. I use to come close to focus in manual and than press for auto focus.
Pros: Very sharp. Good bokeeh. Not to heavy or big. Good tripod collar.
Summary: For now i'm using it with a Olympus E520 and I'm very satisfied with the results. I use this lens mainly for macro shots. I believe it wold be even better with my next Olympus, the e5.

Cons: Autofocus is medium speed but rarely a problem. Slightly softer at 2.8 but still good.
Pros: Fabulously sharp. Even edges are good. Tripod collar is better than Nikon Good colour. Good micro contrast and overall contrast. Compact. I take it on all my holidays. A 70-200 zoom would be too big and heavy. Great bargain for the money.
Summary: If you are looking for compact quality in a versatile telephoto prime, you will not be disappointed.

Cons: Rather slow autofocus if it have to search. Only a problem when using the lens as a short tele, since the "far" focus limiter goes from 52 cm to infinity. It would be better if the close distance was father away in this setting. The removable tripod collar has a rather large knob.
Pros: As a Macro the manual focus is brilliant with a long trow for precise ajustment. Auto focus is usable in the macro setting. Fantastic sharpness all over the frame even wide open. Very good bokeh even at f:5,6-8.
Summary: I primarily shoot flowers as close up + occasional insects, and here the long working distance is a real benefit. I also use it in combination with the Sigma x1.4 converter, and this can be recommended. Sharpness is still very good and working distance for same magnification increase even further. It replaced a Nikkor 60 mm. No real comparison here. I also use a 80-200 f2.8 with the Canon 500D diopter, which is a really good combination. The zoom is a nice benefit for composition, but the ability to choose focus distance freely is a bigger plus. If you are serious about near or macro photography, I can strongly recommend this lens.

Cons: As every macro lens also this one doesnīt like shinnig sun on front element, bokeh isnīt the smoothest, EX finish
Pros: nice build, 3 position AF limiter, tripod collar, sharp, no CA, flawnless lens, real HSM
Summary: I sold this lens to buy Nikkor 105VR and I regret it - that is the best way how I can comment this lens. The best macro lens you can buy.

Cons: -The external finish is undoubtedly the worst for this lens, and Sigma EX for all this rough matte black finish. It is very dirty and delicate. -The tripod collar does not rotate as smooth as one would like
Pros: -Excellent sharpness even wide open. -Small, light & compact for a 150mm f/2.8 macro. -Silent/fast focusing + focus limiter -Price/quality ratio
Summary: An outstanding lens, very versatile - macro, medium-tele, portraits-

Cons: None in my experience
Pros: Very sharp lens. Silent focusing. Extremely good value for the money.
Summary: I am extremely happy with this purchase. It tends to be in my bag wherever I go. Even though it is primarily a macro lens, I use it mostly for portraits, school sporting events, concerts and as a general telephoto lens. It's perfect to take on holidays as it's smaller to pack than a 70-200 zoom. Focusing is very silent and medium speed.
