Cons: not sharp, slow lens, massive CA stopping down doesnt help.. 28mm not wide enough on crop sensors, forget about corner to corner sharpness NEEDS OS..
Pros: good focal range for most situations. macro ability (barely qualifies) vignetting is okay focusing is quiet considering lack of HSM.
Summary: i wouldnt buy this lens. just stick to canons 70-200 telephotos.

Cons: - Not sharp. - Slow max. aperture, which also affected focus at longer focal lengths (to the point of making it almost inoperable).
Pros: - Usable in (very) controlled conditions. - You don't have to change lenses.
Summary: God I hated this one. It has all the shortcomings of an ultrazoom and not really a bright side. Except being able to shoot at all - in controlled conditions of course. I did have a few decent pictures with this lens but it was in spite of it rather than thanks to it.
