Cons: All plastic, low light conditions need Hi ISO witch is not good for IQ
Pros: Light in Kg`s and in money as far as i know, IS is a plus. Good for landscape at 18mm with soft light even with hand.
Summary: I have very good photos with the lence, I`m happy with it.

Cons: - Not consistently sharp. - Flimsy. - Barrel distortion. - Slow max. aperture
Pros: - Decent pictures in controlled conditions. - Dirt cheap and readily available.
Summary: Not an instant throwaway like the KM kit lens, but not a good one like the old Nikkor 18-70 either. It was possible to coax some decent images out of this one when nothing else in the same focal length range was available... but rather difficult. The new IS version smokes this one.
