Cons: No manual focus, lots of CA when wide open, little flare
Pros: Very sharp when step down to f5.6, the sharpest at 100mm focal length, nice contrast and natural colors. Focus is on the spot (with the lens I own), nice bokeh
Summary: When this lens is used in bright sunlight conditions the results are very good on my 80D. It produces a lot of contrast and wide range of colors.I prefer it most for controlable situations, as the AF speed is slow it is more to do portraits, landscapes, streetphotograpy or take it to the zoo. Chromatic abberation and backlight is a problem as this lns is missing any coorective elements or coatings like SLD so those situations should be avoided when shooting. In relation to the price a nice toy to play and have fun.

Cons: Minimum focus distance
Pros: I love this lens. Its focus is spot on and the maximum aperature is the same all the way through.
Summary: All in all this is a great lens. I never thought when I bought it on EBay it was going to be one of my favorites. The slide for distance is also very nice. I was leery worrying about the autofocus, but it works really great. I am unsure why they discontinued this lens.

Price: 40€

Cons: Minimum focusing distance long, AF loud and slow, no manual focusing
Pros: optically quite good (like canon 100-300 usm), cheap! good build quality, not too heavy, Push-Pull zoom (I like that), constant aperture f4.5 and sharp pictures from f5.6 in all ranges
Summary: You can get very nice pictures with this lens and it is easy to handle if you like Push-Pull zooms. You cannot focus manually, but AF is quite good on my Canon 50d and 30d. As you can get it very cheap, it is a lot better than its price shows!
