Cons: flare against bright light (sun) but this can be used for an artistic look.

Pros: Image quality in general, sharp from f2 , contrast, color

Summary: The pictures from this lens reminds me pictures from a medium format camera. Images are crystal clear!! it\'s not just about sharpness.

Cons: A "yes but" lens. Macro, but 1:2. f/2, but tends to underexpose at that aperture. Macro indeed, but not free from distortion, and with not-so-flat field. Rugged, but not weather-sealed.

Pros: Nearly everything, but the blue haze appearing when shooting against the light. While contrast is very good wide open, it will degrade progressively on stopping down. Performance wide open is already impressive. Some macro lenses provide lackluster performance at medium or longer distances, but not that one.

Summary: Excellent allrounder lens. It used to be my most used 50mm lens, until I bought the successor (Milvus 50/2), that displays minimal flare and therefore corrects the only real flaw of this lens.

Pros: Very versatile; very sharp all the way from near to far; easy to focus; built like a tank

Summary: An excellent lens, worth every penny
