Cons: It’s cons are also it’s pros. Due to field curvature the edges are soft but this adds to the 3D pop and beautiful bokeh you can get for your portraits.
Pros: We are in a sterile lens world right now where each lens that is released feels the same. Boring sharpness with zero character and optically flawless. The zeiss c sonnar is my desert island 50mm. I love the short focus throw and the wide open sharpness is just right. It’s compact with great build quality .
Summary: Desert island 50mm

Cons: Little focus-shift, but you can handle this on a camera with live-view, as Sony A7x and Leica M 240/246. Sharp in the edges only from f5.6-8.0 on.
Pros: It's a wonderful lens for portrait work. Use it at 1.5-2.8 an enjoy it's sharpness in the center und it's pretty bokeh in the edges. A perfect alternative to the Leica Noctilux on Leica M, as well as on Sony A7x (with adapter).
Summary: Perfect for artistic portrait work, good sharpness in the center even at 1.5. If I had to decide for only one single lens on ma Leica M, I would take this one!
