Small physical dimensions of the lens mean you can notice vignetting effects even on the APS-C class detector. At the maximum relative aperture that aberration level reaches 29% (−0.97 EV) and it decreases to 17% (−0.53 EV) on stopping down the aperture to f/2.0. Any distinct problems end by f/2.8 and f/4.0, where we got the following results: 16% (−0.49 EV) and15% (−0.48 EV) respectively.

According to our expectations there are a lot of problems – not only vignetting values are huge but also the lens doesn't react well on stopping down. By f/1.8 we got a result of 61% (−2.70 EV), and it decreased to 49% (−1.94 EV) after applying the f/2.0 relative aperture. We also noticed a significant brightness loss in frame corners by f/2.8 and f/4.0, with values of 40% (−1.48 EV) and 39% (−1.44 EV) respectively. Further stopping down didn't have any measureable effect on the aberration, described in this chapter.
