User profile: Amateur
Cons: No focuslimiter.
Pros: Great contrast already wide open. Beautiful colours. High center sharpness at f/2,8, corners on par at f/4. Fully made of metal: fantastic haptics. Very versatile lens due to the 1:1 macro ability. Reliable autofocus, no back- or front focus issues.
Summary: This lens is superb. Small dimensions and very fine image quality.

Owner since: 6 months
Price: 350 second
User profile: Semipro
Cons: small amount of PF between f/2,8-4 in extreme contrast situations, little bit of bokeh fringing
Pros: size, weight, build quality, sharpness, contrast, rendering, resistance to flares, very low CA, 1:1 magnification, very short focus travel from infinity to 0,5 m, very long focus travel from 0,5 m to 0,139 m with excellent damping of the focus ring, quick shift
Summary: this lens is a little gem from Pentax and I can recommend it to anyone interested in macro photography, otherwise you might get bothered by long focus travel the sharpness, contrast, and vivid rendering are typical for high end Pentax glass and this lens is a must have for any nature photog pentaxian IMHO
