Cons: 1) Only 16mm - already want more. 2) Sometimes I want a more even geometry at 16 mm (if the tower is on the side of the frame). Crosses on the domes of churches sometimes have to be aligned in Photoshop, if they appear to be on the edge of the frame.
Pros: 1) Very cool geometry pictures even at 16mm, compared to other lenses. I chose it precisely because of the correct geometry of the pictures, but if the camera is properly held. 2) Very sharp throughout the field of the frame at all the apertures. 3) Excellent microcontrast details of the picture. This allows you to do in-depth study in Photoshop without distorting the correct saturation and color reproduction of the image. 4) Excellent color reproduction in the pictures - the original is pleasant. 5) The image stabilizer is super. Allows you to photograph holding the camera with your hands at long exposures up to 1/10 seconds, if you stand on your feet, and up to 1/3 sec if you rest your hands on the railing. 6) Autofocus is a miracle of technology.
Summary: After 2 years of operation I bought a neutral density ND 0.9 8x 67mm filter. Now the image stabilizer is permanently on. And the pictures became fabulously beautiful and unique-expressive. And after Photoshop very often take first place in the competitions of photographers. Sorry for immodesty. Dear friends, in fact the camera plays a secondary role. The first place should be a quality lens.

Cons: Apertura
Pros: Nitidez, versatilidad
Summary: Una lente muy racional con excelente rendimiento penalizada, únicamente, por su limitada apertura, en tele especialmente. Perfecta para viajar con poco peso.

Cons: Not quite a one lens solution. You need a telephoto lens like the 70-300mm
Pros: Perfect range, size and weight for walk around lens on trips.
Summary: One of the best lens deals that Nikon has for DX camera lenses.

Cons: Resolution falls towards the long end
Pros: * 16mm * Very good resoution at 16mm * 16-85mm is a quite versatile range. * VR works very well.
Summary: * A very good lens. At f/5.6 and above competes with the professional 17-55 at every focal lenght. * Versatile. * However, I prefer primes (24 f/2.8D, 35 f/1.8G, 50 f/1.8G).

Cons: Vignetting in open aperture, lens speed (not cons in its category), only average lens flare resistance, bokeh at f=50mm, only average AF speed.
Pros: Perfect sharpness from open aperture to F8-11 (I do not talk about corners 16mm F3.5 of course), very good build in its price category, perfect focal range, lightweight, contrast saturated nice colors images, precise AF (some pieces have problems at 16mm at old bodies - D80 and older), no problem with CA, relative low sferic distortion for difficult 16-85mm range, perfect image stabilization, only 67mm filter
Summary: Ideal DX landscape and outdoor lens.

Cons: Weight, average build quality for the price range, vignetting in open apertures.
Pros: Very sharp across the range, excellent built in stabilisation (VR), due to his 16-85 range is an ideal all rounder for DX users.
Summary: INMO the best standard zoom for Nikon DX users.

Cons: Visible barrel distortion at 16mm
Pros: Real sharp, at least after ~2 stops. Also very matching zoom range for many purposes. Wide angle (16mm) gives tiny benefit comparing most kit lenses
Summary: My second best lens after Nikon 70-200/2.8 VR and for the moment I don't know better & more cost effective solution for my own needs at this category.

Cons: Extends when zooms.
Pros: Great zoom range with excellent IQ. The VR works well and allows for f8 for DOF when shooting interiors which I prefer. The size, weight and ergonomics are excellent. AF is fast and silent.
Summary: I bought this lens with my D90 and it always gets taken along. I would buy for any DX body.

Cons: Slightly visible barrel distortion at 16mm thats about all!!
Pros: Nice sharp image quality. VR works well - at least 2 stops of benefit/gain close up focus is nice - if not actually true macro Range is great.
Summary: Equal all time favourite general walkabout lens Great all rounder with excellent image quality in all respects

Cons: No real con - You should know what to expect when you directlly have a strong light/sun in the view with a lens with 17 elements
Pros: Perfect zoom range, VRII, excellent image quality for the price, very nice for "nearly makro" shoots (0,38 m @ 85 mm)
Summary: My best lens I ever had -
