Cons: I wish it has a construction similar to the the helios 44
Pros: Sharp, Nice bokeh, has ninja in f4-5.6.
Summary: Excellent lens

Cons: the aperture mechanizm might be more reliable; a bit of lateral aberrations on large apertures, branches, sticks etc. with noticeble violet fringles
Pros: Sharp, fantastic warm colors, image resolution on my 60D is perfect, bokeh. metal and glass.
Summary: It is the best lens I've ever used. A reason why I'm absolutely not intrested in 50mm lenses. Because the best one is found. Speaking frankly, I don't like portraits with it. But nature, architecture, concept photos - that's the best genres it might be successfuly applied in. Shrunked aperture is preferable, even then the bokeh save the charm and flexibleness. The optical scheme Ultron is much better than Planar and even Biotar.

Summary: This is a great lens for the price. I picked one without knowing much and what a surprise

Cons: Not found by now. For the price, that's just the way it's going to be.
Pros: Fast, sharp WO and razor sharp from f3.5. Evenly sharpness across the frame. Cheap! Well built solid barrel. I have the Minolta Maxxum AF f1.7 50mm crossed xx and this little star equals it, which is saying a lot!
Summary: I'm happy I picked this. Got it disassembled for as low as 11 USD and it was restored at service (+6 USD), what a steal! Using it with Sony SLT A55. This is my favourite lens for portraits with amazingly smooth bokeh - possibly the best of any MF 50mm lens I've seen ever.
