Cons: Lens cap is a screw off/on cap. Very high quality metal, but can become a slight pain sometimes. Nice when not shooting though.
Pros: Everything! I love the flare control and sunburst it produces stopped down at f/8.0 or greater.
Summary: This is a fantastic lens! I won't bore you by repeating what everyone else on the internet has said. If you're looking for an ultra-wide with amazing qualities...buy it! You won't be disappointed!

Cons: Soft edges at wide apertures, some curvature of field
Pros: Very sharp and contrasty at f8 for an ultrawide angle lens. Exceptional build quality, just a pleasure to work with. VERY small and light compared to zooms.
Summary: As expected, this Pentax Limited lens is extremely well-constructed and works very smoothly. It's a pleasure to use it. Optically, the edges are rather soft until stopped down to f8, at which point it's quite sharp. Contrast is excellent at all apertures and definitely enhances image quality. CA are fairly low and easily corrected. At f 8, sharpness and image quality are high across the entire field. Output from this lens sharpens up considerably in Lightroom. I suspect some curvature of field, which is more or less expected in an ultrawide angle lens, so edge sharpness should not be a major problem at normal working distances for this type of lens. Overall, a very decent performance for an ultra-wide angle lens. I debated purchasing this lens for some time, but am glad that I ultimately did so. It's very small and light, a nice lens with which to photograph.

Cons: none
Pros: optical performance, minimum focus distance, low distortion, build quality, integrated hood, quick shift
Summary: I really like this lens for its size, build quality, but where it impresses me most is the optical quality, I had problems with unsharp corners until I have found out manual focus setting for sharp picture corner to corner from 1,5 m to infinity and am happy ever after, tiny bit of CA or PF (in extreme situations) is easily manageable in PP good for architecture https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hbA-FCHFmQa4rYdagitfXdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink or panoramas https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/qTtN78kZEFpmPy-G2DptXtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink even portraits :) https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Z_RGYcJwiwUZ-zfdsCrYzdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink

Pros: Good control of chromatic abberation. Excellent distortion control. Very sharp at center. Terrific, carry anywhere size.
Summary: Great, carry anywhere size with legendary Pentax Limited build quality.

Cons: Not good wide open, but have no use or intention of using it that way.
Pros: .Perfect landscape lens. Extreme DOF in mid f-stops. Very sharp. Excellent sunbursts. Renders as if it had a built in polorizer. Shots remind me of Kodachrome 25.
Summary: Bought it for landscapes, but works for other things. Sweet spot between f-11 and f-14. There's magic in this lens if you use it properly. Best lens I've owned in almost 4 decades of shooting professionally
