Cons: Build quality and autofocus reaction could be better.
Pros: Unique f2.0 aperture! Brighter than any other 60mm Macro lens.
Summary: For 60mm macro, I wouldn't advise anything, but this lens! Due to it is f2.0, it is nice for portraits as well.

Cons: If focus misses it travels the whole range, which can take a while
Pros: Fast, sharp, full-time manual focus.
Summary: Nice lens, all the way down to F2. I got it on sale and with $100 tamron rebate, and it is a steal at that price.

Cons: Focus can hunt in low contrast / light situations
Pros: FAST and sharp at f/ 2.5 Good focal length on crop factor model for macro AND portraiture
Summary: A solid effort from Tamron but with some auto focus hunting. Smooth manual focusing in auto mode is nice feature. Pleased with photos taken with lens - good color and contrast and sparky sharpness at f/ 2.5 and up.
