Owner since: 1 year
Price: $900
User profile: Professional
Cons: No EX version so no weather sealing
Pros: Light, fast, extremely sharp
Summary: Excellent value, and a real Canon-killer, as sharp as the Nikon VR II model at half the price.

Cons: Lens hood adapter (APS-C) a bit fiddly, no weather sealing
Pros: Extremely sharp even at 200mm / F2,8 across the whole picture, very effective OS, excellent finish and build quality, bag and hood included, silent and fast autofocus, smooth focus and zoom rings
Summary: This lens delivers nothing else but excellent pictures! Even at 200mm wide open there is practically no difference between my very sharp 85mm/1,8@2,8 and this Sigma lens.If you consider the price tag, this lens is just amazing and hard to beat. I will keep mine forever!

Cons: Great Build Quality, Stabilizer works very effectively with low shutter speeds, has a very heavy and solid feel, silent and fast autofocus. It has very smooth zoom and focus rings. It performs great in low light situations and provides high shutter speeds.
Pros: A bit soft at f/2.8
Summary: Overall it's a very good lens and a good investment. It gives fantastic results when used at f/4 and also gives very good and perfectly usable images at f/2.8 It's only a notch off the Nikon and Canon alternatives. I am very pleased with it and have not regretted buying it one bit.
