Cons: Autofocus is slow and not suitable for shooting moving object. Lens hood design poor.

Pros: Decent build quality, sharp images and good contrast, relatively cheap and very useful focal range.

Summary: This lens is very good for travel and shooting far object. But slow autofocus limiting its ability to shoot moving object like animals, birds and sports. But this is a good lens for the price

    Cons: no

Pros: light weight good opt. quality reasonable price

Summary: It was the right decesion to change from 70-300 VR to the new 55-300 , because I use it for APS-C Performance is better then with my 70-300

Cons: Very slow focusing, cheap build quality, not fast lens, not conclusive VR (often better results with VR off).

Pros: Cheap relatively sharp lens, sharper than 55-200 VR and 70-300 VR, especially at 300mm, lightweight and small, perfect focal range.

Summary: Lightweight small cheap lens with perfect focal range and sharp output, but very slow focusing and not conclusive VR.
