Cons: Noisy stabilization. Agree with FirstReview "Sometimes, even if the auto focus seems to be done, my camera refuses to take the shot." Auto focus not always good!

    Pros: Wide Range 18-270.

    Summary: Not bad overall

Cons: Sometimes, even if the auto focus seems to be done, my camera refuses to take the shot (never observed with another lens). Noisy stabilization system: not so much but my Nikon lenses are fully silent compared to.

Pros: Incredible range for that weight and size! Auto focus accurate and fast (when no problem - see cons) 270mm shots hand held very easy thanks to the efficient stabilization system.

Summary: Very cool lens, in that relatively small package, it proposes a wide range, a very good stabilization and an accurate autofocus. It's a very enjoyable lens to use in day light and allow shooting all the big boat and zooming on the bird perched on the top of the mast with just a turn of a wrist.
