Cons: A littler larger than I prefer. Wish it had image stabilization.
Pros: This lens renders images better than any other lens I have. I also own the Olympus 75mm f1.8, which captures images in a very different kind of fantastic way. However, the images from the PL 25mm has a certain quality that is one notch better. It can also be shot wide open at f1.4 with sharp results.
Summary: Considering the PL 25mm f1.4 can be purchased used for a little more than $300, it\'s a steal if you want fantastic image quality from a f1.4 lens.

Cons: Relatively large size compared to Olympus primes or Panasonic panacake primes.
Pros: Much faster AF than the Panasonic 20 1.7, much more pleasant rendering of skin tones (less harsh) yet equally sharp. Fantastic and vibrant colours. Perefct for portraits in available natural light.
Summary: This is without question the best lens I have used to date for portraits on micro four thirds. I have the Oly 75 1.8, 45 1.8, 17 1.8, 12 2.0 and 12-40 2.8. I previously owned the Panny 20 1.7 but sold it after comparing IQ between these two lenses. Panny 20 1.7 is good for street shooting but can't compare with this lens for portraits. This is also much faster to autofocus so far more suitable for portraits of toddlers who move around and don't stay still. If I was a studio based portrait photographer I'd probably rate the Oly 75 1.8 highest but prefer to get closer to my subjects. To truly get the best out of this lens, you should shoot wide open at f1.4 ensuring you use Manual Focus (with magnification switched on) to get incredibly sharp images with stunning bokeh. I only really started shooting in manual focus in the last week or so and wish I'd started sooner given the results you can get. Of the above lenses, the weakest is the 17 1.8. It's useful focal length but you can very quickly see the difference in sharpness when you compare what you see in the viewfinder with lens mangnification switched on.

Cons: No IOS, AF a bit slow, not weather proof, high price
Pros: Razor sharp images, best optical performance m4/3 Lence I could find.
Summary: I use it mostly for shooting my newborn and for that, it's just great. Also used it outdoor, sometimes @ night and I'm very happy with the results. Definitely prefer it from the "Pancace"... This lens it's just fun!

Cons: None
Pros: Sharp. Skin tones as used on a G3.Rich deep color saturation. 20x24s no problem, and no distortion. All creamy backgrounds. To die for.
Summary: I have a stable of Nikons and Nikon lenses. But this is the sharpest lens I have ever used. Period. Full Stop! If a professional MF camera should arrive on the scene with a full line of these Leica lenses, I'll dump my Nikons.

Cons: Sometimes generates a rattlesnaking sound on some Olympus bodies due to aperture adjustment when metering. But this is not a defect and does not damage the lens. I am rating the body at 4* only because it is plastic not metal, but it is solidly built.
Pros: Sharp wide open, great contrast, quick to focus, great depth of field and creamy bokeh. Objects pop out if you frame them properly at the right distance. Fairly silent (but not super silent).
Summary: One of the must have primes.
