The Canon’s EF 70-200 mm f/2.8 USM autofocus can’t be seriously faulted. It works silently, quickly and accurately. The number of the misses in the studio conditions didn’t exceed the level of 4% and, what’s the most interesting thing here, most of them concerned the shortest focal length. After attaching the converter the focusing mechanism became slightly slower but its accuracy remained the same.
