Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between vertical and horizontal MTF50 function values, amounted to 4.8%. It is a very low value. If you look at particular focal lengths you find out that the aberration increases with them. At 24 mm it is 2.4%, at 40 mm it reaches 4.0%, at 70 mm it amounts to 4.2%, and at 105 mm it gets to 8.4%.

Defocused circles of light look sensibly well, especially if you take into account the fact that you deal here with a zoom lens. Traces of onion ring bokeh are noticeable but only because you can find as many as four aspherical elements inside the lens's construction. A slight rim is also visible on stopping down. Mechanical vignetting makes itself felt but mainly at the maximum relative aperture. By f/5.6 it is already low and by f/8.0 it disappears completely.
