Canon EF-S 60 mm f/2.8 Macro USM

11. Summary

Pros:

compact, light and closed body,
outstanding sharpness both at the center and the edge of the frame from the maximum aperture,
small chromatic aberration,
very small coma,
negligible astigmatism,
fast, silent and very accurate autofocus.

Cons:

vignetting’s too large

What’s there to write. If someone doesn’t mind that when taking macro pictures you need to get really close to the object, and the fact that you can’t mount the lens on a full-frame sensor, you can buy this lens on spec. It will work great both for what it was designed for and also as a nice portrait lens.
