Tokina AT-X 535 PRO DX AF 50-135 mm f/2.8

22 September 2007
Arkadiusz Olech

10. Autofocus

Tokina, opposite to Sigma, has no silent ultrasonic mechanism so no wonder its AF is slower and a bit louder. Although we must say that this light buzzing is not very annoying.

We can not praise AF accuracy because it is not very high. We did not encounter "hunting" effect but number of mistakes was significant and reached 17%.

There were no back or front focus issues. When AF missed the target, the number of front shifts was barely equal to back shifts.
