Tokina AT-X M100 PRO AF D 100 mm f/2.8

To clear all the doubts at once I can say that Tokina 2.8/100 did not break the record of Tamron 2.8/90, but in fact, was very close to it, because for the f/4.0 it achieved a sensational level of 42.8 lpmm. When it comes to the range of stops from f/4.0 to f/32, both these lenses, within the boundary of errors, achieve comparable results. Tokina, however, has the advantage over Tamron with the maximum aperture, being visibly sharper there.

The behaviour of Tokina at the edge of the frame is also hard to describe in a different way than excellent, because even with the f/2.8 the value of MTF50 is over, the recognised as good, level of 30 lpmm.
